SDG 1: No Poverty

One of the key barriers to participation in higher education is the financial ability to attend university. Universitas Indonesia commits to ensure that every student can attend their studies despite their financial circumstances. UI also makes sure that its admission process is aligned with Indonesian government’s agenda in allowing equal opportunities to higher education especially for underprivileged prospective students, i.e. those whose family earns 20% less than the family income group. In its execution, Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture encourages extra attention on prospective students coming from the frontier, outermost, and less developed (3T) regions through the 3T Region Education Affirmation Program (ADik) and on Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) recipients, who come from underprivileged families.

Proportion of students of the Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Indonesia receiving financial aid because of poverty reaches 20%.
